Maintenance Electrician – Commercial Site

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join a leading building services provider on a prestigious commercial site in Birmingham. The role involves delivering high-quality electrical maintenance across a range of systems in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical plant.
• Maintain single- and three-phase power systems, motors, pumps, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Operate and monitor basic Building Management System (BMS) functions.
• Safely isolate plant and equipment before work.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in line with regulations and site procedures.
• Complete logbooks, RAMS, maintenance records and close work orders via PDA system.
• Support general building services maintenance when required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified electrician (City & Guilds, NVQ, EAL or equivalent) with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Minimum three years’ experience in commercial building services maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance capability.
• Professional, client-facing attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Residency within a commutable distance of the City of London.
