Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer will work in Deeside to improve manufacturing processes across CNC machining, welding, electropolishing and inspection. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive quality, productivity and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, develop, improve and maintain processes for CNC machining, welding, electropolishing and inspection.
• Identify and implement improvements to boost productivity, quality, efficiency, throughput and overall performance.
• Standardise methods, best practices, process flow maps, work instructions and SOPs.
• Support introduction of new products, equipment, automation and investment projects.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for operational issues, customer complaints and non‑conformances.
• Collaborate with Production Managers, Team Leaders, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Welding, Machine Shop, Electropolishing and Inspection teams.
• Optimise CNC machining performance, including utilisation, cycle times, tooling, capability studies, validation and OEE.
• Improve welding processes, WPS compliance, defect reduction and rework minimisation.
• Develop and refine electropolishing procedures, bath performance, cycle times and quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within CNC machining, welding or electropolishing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with production, quality and engineering teams.
