Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

About the role

We are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical focus to join our high‑volume, automated manufacturing site in Warrington. The role is hands‑on and proactive, responsible for diagnosing, repairing and continuously improving both electrical and mechanical systems across modern production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated machinery to minimise downtime.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and inspection standards.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to optimise processes and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects and reliability initiatives.

Required profile

• Practical problem‑solver with a strong root‑cause mindset.
• Time‑served apprenticeship plus ONC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Proven experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Analytical, systematic thinker with high attention to detail.
• Calm and methodical under pressure, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Electrical fault‑finding and maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Use of CMMS and other computer‑based maintenance tools.
• Experience with automated machinery.
