Naval Electronics & Communications Technician Instructor

About the role

The Naval Technician Instructor will deliver technical training for Navy personnel on a range of electronic and communications systems. Reporting to the CAE Senior Instructor, you will use face‑to‑face, blended, e‑learning and simulation methods to ensure trainees meet operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courses covering naval afloat and terrestrial communications equipment, electronic equipment, and command‑and‑control systems.
• Provide pre‑course preparation and post‑course support, conduct assessments and generate performance reports.
• Ensure training delivery aligns with Navy policies, including Trainee Progress Management.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of learning packages and training materials.
• Maintain the relevance and currency of training content to meet competency outcomes.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (or equivalent).
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122).
• Proven experience delivering technical training in a defence or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of Navy operational procedures and training standards.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
• Willingness to work on‑site five days a week at Randwick Barracks.
