Night Porter

About the role

As a Night Porter at The Swallow Falls Inn, you will be the first point of contact for guests during the overnight hours, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. You will work independently, handling reception duties, assisting with enquiries, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, check them in and out, and handle night‑time reservations.
• Answer guest enquiries at the reception desk, bar, or over the phone.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant, lounge and other public areas.
• Prepare the restaurant for breakfast service and set up the buffet table.
• Patrol the premises, perform security checks and ensure guest safety.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and customer‑focused attitude.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Organised, reliable and able to stay alert throughout the night.
