Nursery Chef – Full‑time role in Uxbridge

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Nursery Chef to join our Uxbridge Nursery and Pre‑School. You will prepare nutritious meals for children aged 0‑5, support healthy eating habits and interact daily with the kids in a calm, welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve balanced meals that meet dietary and allergy requirements.
• Manage kitchen supplies, stock levels and relationships with vendors.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, including Food Hygiene Level 2 compliance.
• Organise food‑related activities and cooking sessions for children.
• Collaborate with nursery staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Share recipes and best practices across the LEYF chef community.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 certification or willingness to complete the course in the first week (paid by LEYF).

Required skills

• Food Hygiene Level 2 (or ability to obtain it).
