Part‑time Lecturer in French (0.6 FTE)

About the role

Cadbury College is looking for a passionate Lecturer in French to join its curriculum team on a permanent, part‑time basis (0.6 FTE). You will inspire students across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, helping them develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in French.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality French lessons for GCSE and A‑Level students.
• Create engaging teaching materials and resources.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement and assessment design.
• Act as a personal tutor, offering academic and pastoral support.
• Maintain accurate academic and administrative records.
• Participate in team meetings, CPD activities and college events.

Required profile

• Essential degree in French or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Experience teaching French at Level 2/3 (GCSE or A‑Level).
• Strong subject knowledge and fluency in French.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding.
