About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified teacher to deliver one‑to‑one English and Maths tuition to secondary‑aged pupils in Tameside. The role starts in September 2026 and offers flexible, part‑time hours during school time.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver personalised English and Maths lessons for individual learners.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise outcomes.
- Build positive, professional relationships that encourage engagement and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and company procedures.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Minimum six months of UK‑based teaching experience with secondary pupils.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and right to work in the UK.
Required skills
- Ability to independently plan and deliver lessons.
- Strong communication, organisation and classroom management.
