People Business Partner – EMEA & APAC (Hybrid, London)

About the role

As the People Business Partner for EMEA and APAC at Optro, you will lead the regional people strategy and shape the employee experience across these locations. The role is ideal for a proactive individual who will drive global expansion by building new processes from the ground up while coaching leaders and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with and coach leaders on performance reviews, compensation planning, team development and organisational design.
• Advise and coach leaders on complex employee relations issues, including investigations and grievances.
• Provide expertise on local labour law and compliance across EMEA and APAC.
• Support global expansion through entity creation and PEO arrangements.
• Develop and implement foundational people policies, processes and programmes for the regions.
• Collaborate with US‑based People Business Partners to ensure a cohesive global people strategy.
• Leverage data and analytics to influence business strategy and decision‑making.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years progressive experience as a People Business Partner, preferably in SaaS.
• Deep knowledge of labour law in EMEA and APAC and experience with global expansion.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced, matrixed organisation across multiple geographies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity and able to balance competing priorities.
• Multi‑lingual ability is a plus.
