Practice Pharmacist – Primary Care (South West Fife)

About the role

This permanent position is for a Practice Pharmacist joining NHS Fife’s Primary Care Pharmacy Team in South West Fife. You will work across several GP practices, providing high‑quality pharmaceutical care and supporting safe, evidence‑based prescribing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structured medication reviews, polypharmacy reviews and independent prescribing where appropriate.
• Provide specialist medicines advice to clinicians and patients.
• Support safe, effective and cost‑effective prescribing.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, audits, guideline development and service innovation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across primary care and community pharmacy interfaces.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with the right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Willingness to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
• Enthusiastic, clinically capable and keen to develop within primary‑care pharmacy.
• Primary‑care experience is beneficial but not essential.
