Principal Network Engineer – Hybrid/Remote (UK)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Network Engineer to join our Core Network Engineering team. This hybrid/remote role supports large‑scale ISP and service‑provider infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core network solutions across MPLS, BGP, WAN, broadband, peering and security technologies.
• Deliver major network transformation and migration projects, producing high‑level and low‑level design documentation.
• Act as senior technical escalation point for ISP and service‑provider environments.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and customers, supporting out‑of‑hours project work and upgrades.

Required profile

• Strong background in ISP, MSP or service‑provider environments.
• Extensive experience with MPLS and BGP, network design and project delivery.
• CCNP‑level Cisco routing and switching knowledge or equivalent.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network environments.
