Production Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Production Team Leader for our Scunthorpe site, the largest facility in the group with around 2,000 employees. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will oversee four direct Team Leader reports and approximately 40 indirect staff, taking ownership of line output in the cutting operation. The role demands a proactive, resilient leader who can maintain high standards of safety, quality and efficiency in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the team to achieve daily KPIs and customer expectations.
• Ensure strict adherence to GMP and quality standards at all times.
• Maintain line discipline, follow packing and production plans, and prevent over‑packing or deviations.
• Drive productivity while safeguarding staff welfare and safety.
• Own training, coaching and development of both direct and indirect reports.

Required profile

• Confident, motivated leader with experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, communicate clearly and energise a diverse team.
• Willingness to undertake full food‑safety training if not already certified.

Required skills

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge.
