Psychology Teacher (A Level) – Full‑time, Canterbury

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join schools in the Canterbury area. The position is full‑time with a temporary‑to‑permanent pathway, starting in September 2026. You will inspire students across the ability range, including A‑Level, and help them develop a genuine interest in psychology.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Psychology to pupils of varying abilities, delivering the A‑Level curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and well‑structured lessons.
• Inspire students to understand psychological theory, research and real‑world applications.
• Monitor and assess progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Psychology, ideally including A‑Level.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for psychology.
• Commitment to achieving high standards for every student.
• Ability to create engaging lessons that encourage curiosity and critical thinking.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS disclosure and any required clearances.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
