Public Affairs and Communications Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Public Affairs and Communications Assistant to support our policy, research and trade initiatives within the no‑, low‑ and mid‑strength drinks sector. You will help keep our operations running smoothly while contributing to campaigns that shape the future of the category.

Key responsibilities

• Organise working groups and collective meetings with industry and policy stakeholders.
• Assist research projects, including data collection and report writing.
• Support public affairs activities such as parliamentary monitoring and briefing preparation.
• Maintain brand member records and ensure the database is up‑to‑date.
• Create, schedule and monitor social media content.
• Help expand impact work with partners such as Majestic Wines.
• Provide logistical support for trade shows, tastings, events and the No, Low and Mid‑Strength Summit.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in campaigning, political research or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Interest in campaigning, parliamentary processes and public‑health issues.
• Strong research ability, attention to detail and the capacity to work independently.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Canva.
• Experience using Google Docs.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools.
