About the role

We are looking for an experienced QSHE Director to provide strategic leadership across Quality, Environment, Health and Safety for a global drinks manufacturer. The role will shape governance, compliance and technical excellence while protecting consumers, products and brand reputation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead Quality, Food Safety and Technical Governance, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Oversee QSHE management systems, certifications, audit readiness and continuous improvement.
  • Drive product integrity initiatives such as vulnerability assessments, food defence and fraud prevention.
  • Maintain robust traceability systems and effective issue‑resolution processes.
  • Lead incident, crisis and root‑cause analysis programmes, delivering corrective actions.
  • Champion a Zero Harm culture through behavioural safety programmes and risk prevention.
  • Improve environmental performance via waste reduction, emissions management, recycling and resource efficiency.
  • Develop and execute QSHE strategy aligned with organisational goals and manage related budgets, laboratories and external providers.
  • Build capability across QSHE teams through coaching, succession planning and leadership development.
  • Lead cross‑functional projects and support safe, compliant delivery of capital investment programmes.

Required profile

  • Senior leadership experience in FMCG, food, beverage or consumer‑goods manufacturing.
  • Deep expertise in Quality, Food Safety and QSHE management systems.
  • Strong background in incident, risk and crisis management.
  • Proven track record of safety‑culture transformation and behavioural safety initiatives.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and analytical, data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
