Reception Early Career Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role
We are seeking an Early Career Teacher to cover a maternity leave in a Reception class at a primary school in Stretford, Trafford. This is a long‑term supply position with the possibility of a permanent contract after the cover period.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons for Reception pupils covering the EYFS and National Curriculum.
- Provide phonics instruction and monitor pupil progress.
- Maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
- Engage with parents and contribute positively to all aspects of school life.
Required profile
- Experience working with children in Early Years settings.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework and the National Curriculum.
- Ability to inspire, challenge and motivate learners.
- Hardworking, resilient and well‑organised.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Required skills
- Phonics teaching.
