Regional Sales Manager – Trade & Merchant (Animal Health)

About the role

This position is a field‑based role covering Wales and the South West of England. You will lead the launch of a new sales team focused on the agricultural trade and merchant channel, promoting a portfolio of animal health and nutritional products for ruminant livestock.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships within the agricultural trade and merchant channel.
• Build a new territory from the ground up, identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Support merchant partners and their teams to drive product awareness and sales.
• Conduct dual on‑farm calls and provide technical support alongside merchant customers.
• Act as a brand ambassador, increasing visibility and market share within the territory.
• Plan and execute proactive sales strategies to manage the territory effectively.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development or territory management.
• Experience selling into the agricultural trade or merchant channel.
• Strong product knowledge in farming or large‑animal health.
• Excellent commercial awareness, communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to develop a successful territory.
• High energy, enthusiasm and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Full UK driving licence.
