Remote Medical Physician for AI Model Fine‑Tuning (MD/DO)

About the role

This remote contractor position enables experienced internal or emergency medicine physicians to contribute their clinical expertise to the development of large language models such as ChatGPT. You will help ensure AI‑driven medical reasoning is accurate, empathetic, and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Design and solve advanced clinical scenarios covering acute care, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine.
• Evaluate AI‑generated responses for diagnostic accuracy, clinical judgment, and evidence‑based reasoning.
• Identify knowledge gaps across internal medicine subspecialties, including cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, and others.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and medical peers to improve model quality and reliability.
• Provide structured, expert feedback that guides next‑generation AI development for clinical and educational use.

Required profile

• MD, DO, or equivalent doctoral degree with active clinical practice within the past 3 years.
• Board certification or equivalent qualification in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Comprehensive knowledge of acute, chronic, and preventive care across internal medicine.
• Ability to articulate complex medical reasoning in clear, patient‑friendly language.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Education from a top‑tier institution (e.g., Harvard, Stanford, UCSF, Oxford, etc.).

Required skills

What we offer

• 20–40 hours per week (minimum 4 hours/day) with overlap in PST.
• Fully remote, contractor/freelance engagement for an initial 1‑month period, with possible extension.
