Security Officer – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Security Officer to join our team in Birmingham. The role involves providing a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff across a range of high‑profile venues.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, offering guidance and a friendly presence to visitors.
• Conduct regular security patrols, monitor access points and deter unauthorised activity.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, documenting and escalating as required.
• Maintain a visible, approachable security presence to reassure staff and customers.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team culture.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and professional in all interactions.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with the ability to work varied shifts.
• At least 18 years old and eligible for an SIA licence.
• Enthusiastic about learning and developing a career in security.

Required skills

• SIA Guarding licence or Door Supervision licence (or willingness to obtain).
