About the role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher with a specialism in English, Maths or Science to join a supportive trust in Tameside and South Manchester. You will work in a nurturing environment, delivering tailored lessons that enable pupils with special educational needs to thrive academically and emotionally.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of SEN pupils.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to support engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Monitor student progress and adapt approaches to individual requirements.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent, with completed ECT year.
- Experience working in a special school or mainstream setting with SEN pupils.
- Strong behaviour management and differentiated teaching skills.
- Calm, patient, resilient nature with a passion for inclusive education.
