SEN Teacher – Permanent Full-Time Opportunity

About the role

We are looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to join our specialist team in St Albans. The role involves delivering a broad, balanced curriculum for pupils with SEND and SEMH across Key Stages 2‑4 and further-education pathways, helping them build confidence, independence and future‑ready skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, structured lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of SEND and SEMH requirements.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, providing timely feedback.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with therapists, support staff and families to support pupil development.
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience or enthusiasm for working with learners with special educational needs.
• Commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for SEND and SEMH pupils.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
