Senior Accountant – External Reporting (Fixed-Term)

About the role

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its External Reporting team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in the Hammersmith office, you will support statutory financial statement preparation, audits and tax reporting for key UK legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for three UK entities in accordance with FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
• Coordinate with external auditors to manage UK GAAP adjustments, audit procedures and timely statutory filings.
• Support the Corporate Tax function by producing schedules for tax calculations and ad‑hoc tax audit requests.
• Collaborate with US GAAP teams to determine appropriate accounting treatment for cross‑border transactions.
• Provide financial analysis, interim reviews and variance analysis for UK entities.
• Assist SSC and EMEA Controllership with ad‑hoc audit deliverables and balance‑sheet account submissions.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency while maintaining high service standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in UK statutory reporting and audit coordination.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Proven ability to work with tax, treasury, legal and global controllership teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
