Senior Accountant – Fixed-term (London)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the EMEA Controllership team on a fixed‑term contract until October 2027. Based in our London Hammersmith office, you will work four days on‑site and one day remotely, reporting to the Media Manager and supporting the Media segment’s accounting function.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with local, EMEA, US and Mumbai teams as the primary accounting contact for the Media segment.
• Oversee revenue accruals, deferred income, pre‑payments and withholding tax for TWDC UK, and resolve aged balances with Tax, Collections and Finance.
• Ensure compliance with programming accounting policies for internally developed content, third‑party acquisitions, co‑productions and other media assets.
• Drive quarterly close activities, prepare reporting packages, and review income statements, balance‑sheet flux schedules and impairments.
• Liaise with external auditors on a quarterly basis and attend audit calls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency while maintaining service standards.
• Support Sarbanes‑Oxley and Disney Minimum Control Standards, including journal log compliance.
• Assist management and the wider finance team with ad‑hoc duties and projects.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with at least three years of post‑qualification experience.
• Background in film or TV programming accounting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse complex financial data.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience using SAP for financial processes.
