Senior Communications Specialist – GAMS & Global Partnerships

About the role

As a Senior Specialist supporting Mastercard’s core payments business, you will shape and amplify the stories behind products, innovations and partnerships that consumers and businesses interact with daily. You will work closely with internal teams to drive integrated content and media strategies, craft compelling narratives and support thoughtful planning and measurement across storytelling efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage press lists, briefing books, messaging documents and other assets to support announcements and media relations.
• Create and deliver engaging newsroom and digital content, including story angles, thought‑leadership pieces, videos, webinars, podcasts, blogs and social campaigns.
• Partner with product, relationship, communications and marketing teams to align messaging and ensure consistency across external communications.
• Coordinate approvals with product, account‑management, regional, legal and investor‑relations teams and manage a calendar of product and partnership milestones.
• Track performance metrics such as coverage quality, share of voice and sentiment, and produce regular reporting and insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience in media relations, public relations or corporate communications, preferably with agency background.
• Strong storytelling ability and experience creating content for press releases, articles, blogs, speaking opportunities and social media.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and strong attention to detail.
