Senior Communications Specialist – Southern Europe

About the role

As a Senior Communications Specialist for Southern Europe, you will lead Blizzard’s franchise communications across France, Benelux, Spain and Italy. Based in Soho, London, you will develop local narratives, manage media and influencer relationships, and support the broader communications strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute communications initiatives for key Blizzard franchises such as World of Warcraft, Diablo and Overwatch in Southern Europe.
• Craft compelling narratives and multi‑channel content strategies.
• Collaborate with external agencies to ensure integrated campaign execution and resource optimisation.
• Generate creative ideas to enhance editorial coverage.
• Manage crisis and issues, aligning messaging with global teams during sensitive periods.
• Use measurement tools to evaluate campaign success and deliver reports to internal stakeholders.
• Engage with key media, partners and creators to support communications delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local press and media partners.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education (preferred) relevant to communications or related fields.
• Proven professional experience in communications, press and creator relations, ideally within an entertainment brand.
• Excellent spoken and written English and fluency in at least one other European language; French or Spanish highly desirable.
• Self‑motivated with a track record of exceeding performance standards.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Confident, proactive, collaborative and able to work independently when needed.
