Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer – GCP & Kubernetes

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a large‑scale enterprise platform team. The role focuses on building and maintaining highly reliable GCP and Kubernetes infrastructure while collaborating with networking, security and development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, operate and improve GCP and GKE based platforms.
• Administer, troubleshoot and optimise Kubernetes clusters, including Istio/service‑mesh environments.
• Manage cloud networking, firewalls, load balancing and TLS/mTLS certificate workflows.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and other IaC practices.
• Implement monitoring, observability and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace or ELK stacks.
• Support production incident response and root‑cause analysis across cloud‑native workloads.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance reliability, scalability and security of platform services.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes administration, troubleshooting and core objects (ConfigMaps, Secrets, HPA, PDBs).
• Experience with service‑mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, ingress/egress traffic, firewalls and load balancers.
• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure as code.
• Excellent Linux administration skills and scripting in Bash or Python.
