Senior Finance Business Partner

About the role

Monzo is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join its Commercial Finance team. You will partner with the Borrowing collective, supporting Flex Credit cards, Loans and Overdraft portfolios, and own the end‑to‑end financial planning, P&L and balance‑sheet management for the business area.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact between the business and finance, working with senior leaders on commercial projects and product performance.
• Analyse data to uncover trends, opportunities and insights that drive profitability, growth and pricing strategy.
• Scope new markets and products, design commercial models for business cases and negotiate with partners.
• Present findings and recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders including engineering, legal, risk, product, strategy and marketing.
• Design and implement new processes that enable effective decision‑making as Monzo scales.
• Help build and mentor a high‑performing team of financial analysts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial business partnering within a commercial environment.
• Strong ability to build and defend business cases, present investment choices and influence senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable digging into data for insights while also thinking strategically about product and market direction.
• Experience managing P&L and balance‑sheet responsibilities for credit‑related portfolios.
• Track record of developing finance processes and leading a team of analysts.
