Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils

About the role

Join a well‑established civil engineering contractor in Birmingham, delivering high‑quality infrastructure across the Midlands. This full‑time permanent position offers flexible working and the opportunity to lead commercial management on a major heavy civils scheme in Warwickshire.

Key responsibilities

• Full commercial management of a large‑scale civil engineering project.
• Preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and cost‑value reconciliation.
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and supply‑chain partners.
• Administration of contracts, variations, valuations and final accounts.
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff.
• Collaborating with engineering, planning and site teams to drive value and mitigate risk.

Required profile

• Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering and drainage delivery.
• Sound working knowledge of the NEC form of contract.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors, commercial risk and project cash‑flow.
• Full UK driving licence.
