Senior Quantity Surveyor (private and high end residential)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of high‑end residential, commercial and mixed‑use refurbishment and new‑build projects across Central London. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Director to ensure projects are procured efficiently, stay within budget and meet contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage subcontract packages and tender comparison schedules.
• Review tender returns and identify value‑engineering opportunities.
• Negotiate subcontract terms and monitor project budgets.
• Produce cost‑value reports (CVRs), manage valuations and payment processes.
• Support variations, change orders and final account settlement.
• Conduct regular site visits, attend meetings and liaise with site teams, subcontractors and consultants.
• Provide commercial support to resolve project‑related issues.

Required profile

• 7+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor on high‑quality residential, commercial or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong commercial knowledge of procurement, subcontractor management, cost planning, valuations and final accounts.
• Proven ability to prepare tender schedules, manage budgets and forecasts, and support contractual change.
• Comfortable working closely with project teams, directors, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

What we offer

• Salary between £65,000 and £90,000 per year.
