Setting Out Engineer

About the role

This Setting Out Engineer position offers a rare chance to work on one of the largest infrastructure developments in Western Europe, delivering millimetre‑accurate surveys for a major cut‑and‑cover green tunnel project.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑accuracy engineering surveys and setting‑out using robotic total stations on site.
• Process and manage spatial data, produce topography plans and maintain digital models in collaboration with the design team.
• Establish and maintain tight survey control networks using Trimble Business Center.
• Coordinate with construction crews for structural fit‑outs, waterproofing and extensive earthworks.

Required profile

• Practical field‑oriented surveyor with a full driving licence and willingness to travel to regional sites.
• Proven experience on heavy civil engineering projects, especially tunnel or large‑scale infrastructure.
• Valid CSCS card and a formal qualification in surveying, civil engineering or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Trimble Business Center for data processing.
• Trimble and Leica total‑station equipment.
• AutoCAD for updating engineering drawings.
