Site Supervisor – HMP Lincoln Prison Refurbishment

About the role

The Site Supervisor will manage day‑to‑day construction activities on the HMP Lincoln prison refurbishment project. Working in a live custodial environment, you will ensure that all works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards while complying with strict prison security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors across multiple trades, including carpentry, fabric, externals, and fire protection.
• Maintain site records, permits, RAMS and progress reports.
• Manage site logistics and security restrictions within the live prison environment.
• Monitor programme delivery, quality standards and budget compliance.
• Conduct toolbox talks, site inspections and safety briefings.
• Liaise with client representatives, prison authorities and project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous site management or supervisory experience in construction, refurbishment, FM or maintenance.
• Experience working in secure or live environments such as prisons, hospitals, schools or MOD sites is highly advantageous.
• Full right to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced prison security vetting.
• Clean criminal record with no convictions or cautions.
• Based within commuting distance of Lincoln.

Required skills

• SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
• CSCS Card (desirable).
• First Aid at Work (desirable).
• Working at Height certification.
• Hands‑on multi‑trade experience.
