Software Engineer – Information Systems & Technology

About the role

Apple’s Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team in London is looking for a Software Engineer to help design, develop and scale solutions that support billions of Apple devices and transactions worldwide. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders to turn real‑world challenges into reliable, secure services.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design and implement new features for high‑scale enterprise systems.
• Prototype ideas, gather feedback, iterate and scale solutions while maintaining privacy, security and accessibility standards.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams and external partners to integrate services and resolve support issues.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to store and retrieve large volumes of data.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing and documentation to ensure high‑quality releases.

Required profile

• Strong programming experience in modern languages such as Java and Swift; experience with Go, Rust or C# is a plus.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational and NoSQL.
• Focus on security best practices and awareness of common security pitfalls.
• Ability to build effective partnerships with multiple stakeholder groups.
• Comfortable working in a distributed, multi‑time‑zone environment.
