Sports Coach – SEN & Behaviour Teaching Assistant

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Sports Coach to work within SEN and behaviour-focused classrooms across Manchester. You will use sport‑based activities to support children with autism, learning difficulties and social‑emotional needs, helping them build confidence, communication and resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tailored physical‑activity sessions that align with each child’s individual needs.
- Support pupils in developing teamwork, motivation and self‑esteem through sport.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate activity plans into the broader curriculum.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to help children achieve personal goals.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and structured environment during all sessions.
Required profile
- Experience in coaching, PE assistance or youth activity leadership.
- Strong ability to engage and motivate young people.
- Patience, empathy and a genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
