Teacher of Design & Technology – Secondary Academy

About the role
The school is seeking a passionate Teacher of Design & Technology to join its secondary academy in High Wycombe. The role is available for immediate start or from September and offers a long‑term opportunity within a thriving technology department.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4 across design and technology subjects.
- Maintain high standards of workshop practice, health and safety, and equipment use.
- Plan, teach and assess practical and theoretical learning experiences.
- Support extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes where appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching experience.
- Strong workshop experience with confidence in using machinery and tools.
- Effective classroom management skills.
