About the role

McKinlay Law is offering a paid trainee position as a Legal Personal Assistant in Central London. This role is designed for recent graduates or candidates with limited office experience who are eager to start a career in legal administration and receive hands‑on mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and type correspondence and legal documents.
• Maintain diaries, schedule meetings and appointments.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams.
• Update and manage spreadsheets and other administrative records.
• Provide general secretarial support to solicitors and partners.

Required profile

• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in building a long‑term career within a law firm environment.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with standard office software.
