Electrical & Mechanical Engineer – Defence Sector (Expression of Interest)

About the role

Stantec is seeking Electrical and Mechanical Engineers at all career stages to join its growing Defence team across the UK. The role involves supporting and leading multidisciplinary MEP engineering projects for Defence clients, delivering high‑quality, sustainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support MEP design projects from concept to delivery for Defence contracts.
• Engage with clients to understand requirements and ensure project goals are met.
• Manage project elements including team coordination, deliverables, resourcing, programme and budget.
• Develop and oversee design solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Promote an inclusive, collaborative culture within internal and external design teams.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services engineering.
• Proven experience in building services design within the Defence sector.
• Current or ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM processes.
• Experience using Revit for MEP design.
