Associate – Healthcare Litigation (Edinburgh/Glasgow)

About the role

Clyde & Co is seeking a motivated Associate to join its leading Healthcare team in Scotland. The position will involve managing a mixed caseload of clinical negligence and historic abuse claims, supporting major indemnifiers, insurers, healthcare professionals and charities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and progress clinical negligence and abuse claims from inception to resolution.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers, regulators and disciplinary bodies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare and present pleadings, statements of case and other litigation documents.
• Monitor compliance with client service level agreements and internal reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, NQ to 5 years PQE (all suitable candidates considered).
• Experience in litigation, preferably personal injury or related areas.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, demanding environment and handle complex legal issues.
• Strong communication skills and a client‑focused mindset.
