Associate – Healthcare Litigation (Edinburgh/Glasgow)

About the role
Clyde & Co is seeking a motivated Associate to join its leading Healthcare team in Scotland. The position will involve managing a mixed caseload of clinical negligence and historic abuse claims, supporting major indemnifiers, insurers, healthcare professionals and charities.
Key responsibilities
- Handle and progress clinical negligence and abuse claims from inception to resolution.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers, regulators and disciplinary bodies across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare and present pleadings, statements of case and other litigation documents.
- Monitor compliance with client service level agreements and internal reporting requirements.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor, NQ to 5 years PQE (all suitable candidates considered).
- Experience in litigation, preferably personal injury or related areas.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, demanding environment and handle complex legal issues.
- Strong communication skills and a client‑focused mindset.
