About the role
This full‑time position is based in a specialist SEMH school in Greenwich. You will work directly with pupils who struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour and classroom engagement, providing hands‑on support and building trusting relationships. The role starts in September and forms part of a supportive team that values consistency, resilience and a positive attitude.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils needing emotional and behavioural assistance.
- Deliver small‑group activities that promote positive engagement.
- Implement classroom interventions and monitor pupil behaviour.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and classroom participation.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent behavioural strategies.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour (essential).
- SEMH or SEN experience highly desirable.
- Confidence using positive behaviour strategies and de‑escalation techniques.
- Ability to remain calm, consistent and patient in a challenging environment.
