Community Staff Nurse – District Nursing (Part‑time)

About the role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to join its District Nursing team within Primary Care Services. Based at Possilpark Health & Care Centre, you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients in their homes and community settings on a part‑time, permanent basis.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care programmes in partnership with patients, families and carers.
• Deliver skilled nursing interventions to individuals with complex and long‑term conditions.
• Manage and prioritise workload to respond to both planned and unplanned care needs.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date clinical records in line with professional standards.
• Provide clinical leadership and act as a role model for junior staff and students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multi‑agency colleagues to coordinate care and support discharge planning.
• Promote patient safety through risk assessment, incident reporting and adherence to policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC UK pin.
• Relevant post‑registration experience in community or district nursing.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and lifelong learning.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously in a community setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
