Environmental Research & AI Training – Remote (Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking environmental researchers and sustainability experts to join Prolific’s Expert Network. In this role you will help train and evaluate cutting‑edge AI models by applying your ecological and climate expertise to real‑world tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated research outputs for scientific accuracy and nuance.
• Fact‑check environmental claims, emissions factors and regulatory requirements.
• Assess the feasibility of AI‑proposed sustainability solutions.
• Annotate and correct geospatial data, risk assessments and species distribution models.
• Ensure AI responses align with current international standards such as IPCC reports.

Required profile

• BS, MS or PhD in Environmental Science, Ecology, Climate Science, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Experience in environmental impact assessment, climate modelling, conservation research or ESG reporting.
• Strong knowledge of carbon accounting, biodiversity metrics, renewable energy systems or environmental policy.
• Ability to identify errors in climate data, carbon footprints or ecological taxonomies.
• Proficiency with GIS, satellite imagery and longitudinal environmental datasets.
