About the role
Our client, a respected health and regulatory organisation, is seeking a qualified Solicitor or Barrister to join its Legal and Regulatory Affairs team. The role involves managing complex investigations and prosecutions within a highly regulated environment, offering a blend of advocacy, case management and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex regulatory and disciplinary matters from investigation through to conclusion.
- Draft high‑quality legal correspondence, witness statements and written submissions.
- Advise internal stakeholders on investigations, evidence gathering and regulatory procedures.
- Represent the organisation at tribunal hearings and disciplinary proceedings.
- Liaise with external counsel, governing bodies and other key stakeholders.
- Support wider legal matters including contractual and non‑contentious advisory work.
- Ensure matters progress efficiently in line with regulatory rules and deadlines.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to senior stakeholders.
Required profile
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising certificate.
- Minimum three years’ post‑qualification experience or equivalent regulatory legal experience.
- Strong advocacy experience across tribunals or disciplinary hearings.
- Experience managing litigation or regulatory investigations.
- Excellent drafting and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in health, governance or regulatory environments (advantageous).
