Medical Audio Typist

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Audio Typist to provide confidential secretarial and administrative support to the Mental Health Services directorate at North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership, based at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe audio recordings into written documents, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to GDPR.
• Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Mental Health Services directorate.
• Maintain and manage documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the NHS environment.

Required profile

• Education to O Grade/Standard Grade Credit or National 5 in English and Maths.
• SVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Proven experience in audio typing with advanced keyboard skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing demands.
