Mid-Level Android & Backend Software Developer

About the role

Boxbar Tech is scaling its award‑winning self‑service drinks platform and seeks a mid‑level software developer to work across Android kiosk applications and backend services. You will join a small, collaborative engineering team, delivering features from design through deployment in high‑traffic venues worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features for the Android kiosk application.
• Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs.
• Integrate third‑party payment providers and external platforms.
• Work with cloud infrastructure and serverless technologies.
• Support integrations between software, payment devices and physical hardware.
• Investigate and resolve issues across applications, devices, hardware and networks.
• Improve application performance, stability and reliability.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
• Write clean, testable and maintainable code.
• Review code and uphold high engineering standards.
• Support deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of features from concept to production.
