Operations Manager – Holiday Let Portfolio

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day activities of our expanding UK short‑term rental portfolio. The role is fully remote and ideal for a highly organised, proactive professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of UK holiday lets and serviced accommodation, including Airbnb and Booking.com accounts.
• Oversee the channel manager (Lodgify) to keep calendars and listings accurate.
• Handle guest communication via chat and phone, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Onboard new properties – create listings, upload photos, write descriptions, set pricing.
• Coordinate maintenance, liaise with contractors, and schedule cleaning teams.
• Supervise guest check‑ins and check‑outs and maintain compliance documentation (Gas Safety, EICR, insurance, etc.).
• Monitor operations, identify process improvements and reduce costs.
• Utilise dynamic pricing tools (PriceLabs or equivalent) and guest messaging automation (ChargeAutomation).

Required profile

• 3+ years managing holiday lets, serviced accommodation or short‑term rentals.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure and handle urgent situations.
• High attention to detail for compliance and documentation.
• Trustworthy with sensitive financial and owner information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Airbnb, Booking.com and Lodgify (or similar channel‑management software).
• Experience using dynamic pricing tools such as PriceLabs.
• Familiarity with guest‑messaging automation platforms like ChargeAutomation.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and reporting tools to track performance and costs.
