Software Engineer, Front-End (AI Data Platform)

About the role

Encord is building the universal data layer for AI, enabling teams to train and run models on the right data. We are looking for a Front‑End Software Engineer to design and implement the editor interface that lets users visualise and annotate multi‑modal data such as images, video, audio, text, PDFs, medical images, LiDAR and other sensor streams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and own complex UI and editor components for multi‑modal data annotation.
• Render high‑performance 3D/4D scenes with thousands of objects directly in the browser.
• Collaborate across the stack when needed, from backend services to deployment and styling.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of features, from architectural decisions through monitoring and measuring user impact.
• Work closely with a small, high‑trust team to solve technically challenging problems.

Required profile

• Proven experience building complex, performant user interfaces from scratch.
• Passion for delivering tangible outcomes that users can see and interact with.
• Comfort moving across the stack and picking up new technologies quickly.
• Ability to work autonomously, define problems, and make decisions without a predefined solution.
• Team‑player mindset, willing to help peers and elevate overall team performance.
