Mobile Software Engineer – £40k‑£45k + Equity

About the role

Join a mission‑driven climate tech startup that replaces single‑use packaging with IoT and AI. As a Mobile Software Engineer you will lead the migration to Kotlin Multiplatform and ship features that have already prevented 1.6 million pieces of waste.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of consumer and client‑facing mobile applications.
• Drive the transition from native apps to a unified Kotlin Multiplatform architecture.
• Build and integrate lightweight web applications with digital wallets for container tracking.
• Collaborate with backend teams on PHP/Laravel services and support Python‑based software for smart bin hardware.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of professional mobile experience with production‑level Kotlin and strong Android development background.
• Practical experience or strong enthusiasm for Kotlin Multiplatform, able to manage iOS frameworks and SwiftUI integrations.
• Versatile, startup‑ready mindset comfortable exploring REST APIs, PHP, or Python.
