Accounts Administrator – Part‑time (25 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our finance team on a part‑time, hybrid basis. The role involves supporting day‑to‑day financial operations for an online retail business, ensuring accurate processing, reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support accounting activities for online business operations.
• Process and reconcile automated transactions within the finance system.
• Assist with month‑end close and prepare weekly/monthly management reports.
• Perform bank and accounts‑receivable reconciliations.
• Process incoming and outgoing payments and customer refunds.
• Maintain stock management, inventory controls and daily cash reports.
• Support VAT return preparation and monitor employee expenses.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in an accounting or finance environment.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Background supporting e‑commerce, retail or distribution operations.
• Knowledge of VAT processes and stock control procedures.
• Entry‑level accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
