Accounts Administrator – Part‑time (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a well‑established finance team on a part‑time, hybrid basis. The role supports day‑to‑day finance operations for an online retail business, ensuring accurate processing, reporting and compliance. You will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a blend of office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Support accounting activities for online business operations and e‑commerce platforms.
• Process and reconcile automated transactions within the finance system.
• Assist with month‑end close and prepare weekly and monthly management reports (sales, returns, performance).
• Perform bank and accounts‑receivable reconciliations and manage incoming/outgoing payments.
• Process customer refunds, support VAT return preparation and monitor employee expenses.
• Assist with stock management, inventory controls and daily cash reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in an accounting or finance environment.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Background supporting e‑commerce, retail or distribution operations.
• Knowledge of VAT processes and stock control procedures.
• Entry‑level accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
