Accounts Assistant – Film Industry

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to support the finance team of a leading film company. The role offers a solid introduction to purchase ledger, sales ledger and treasury processes, ideal for recent graduates eager to build a finance career.

Key responsibilities

• Process, authorise and file supplier invoices and maintain purchase ledger records.
• Handle employee expense claims and reconcile supplier statements.
• Process, authorise and file customer invoices, support credit control and reconcile sales ledgers.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations, manage petty cash and run BACS payments.
• Maintain accurate invoice, bank and ledger files and support month‑end activities.

Required profile

• Graduate in Accounting & Finance (2:1 or above) or AAT qualified.
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and comfortable working with colleagues at all levels.
• Desire to progress towards a professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.

Required skills

• AAT qualification
• Knowledge of ACCA/CIMA pathways
• Familiarity with BACS payment processing
